Something not working, or a question the answers below don't cover? Email info@jdms.nl and a human will get back to you. Telling us your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it went wrong makes it much faster to fix.

Getting started

How do I record a meeting?

Tap the record button on the home screen. Recording keeps running while you use other apps, survives a phone call, and picks itself back up if you get interrupted. Tap stop when you're done — the transcript, summary, and tasks follow a few minutes later.

Do I need an account?

No. Loqi works straight out of the box, including the free credits and buying more. Signing in (Apple, Google, or email) is optional and exists for one reason: so your credits and purchases follow you to a new phone. Without it, they live only on this device.

The app asked to send my audio to Google. What is that?

Transcription and summarising run on Google's Gemini models, so the recording has to leave your phone to be processed. We ask before the first time, and never send anything until you agree. You can turn it back off any time in Settings → AI Processing; recording, playback, and sharing keep working without it.

Credits and billing

How do credits work?

One credit transcribes up to one minute of audio, and every recording uses at least one. A 12-minute meeting costs 12 credits; a 20-second voice note costs 1.

You start with 60 free credits. They never expire and there is no countdown — recording, playback, and sharing stay free forever, with or without credits.

What do the plans include?

PlanCreditsMonthlyAnnual
Free60 once——
Starter240 / month$3.99$39.99
Pro600 / month$7.99$79.99
Max1,200 / month$14.99$149.99

Prefer not to subscribe? One-time credit packs (30, 90, 200, or 500 credits) never expire. They're only spent after your monthly allowance runs out, so nothing goes to waste.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they're cancelled in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Loqi. We can't cancel a subscription for you, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than the current period.

I want a refund

All purchases go through Apple, and refunds are Apple's to issue. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Email us too if something we did caused it — we'd like to know.

I reinstalled and my credits are gone

Open Settings → Restore Purchases. That reconnects this device to purchases made with your Apple Account and moves the balance back. If you'd signed in before, sign in with the same account first.

One honest limitation: if you only ever bought credit packs, never signed in, and then reinstalled, there may be nothing left to restore. Saving an account prevents this.

Recordings and transcripts

Where are my recordings stored?

On your phone. The audio is uploaded only to be processed and is deleted from our servers straight afterwards — it isn't kept in a cloud archive. That also means recordings do not sync between devices, and deleting the app deletes them.

A meeting is stuck, failed, or came back empty

Open it and use the retry button on the banner. Loqi also retries by itself when the app reopens or the network comes back. If a recording failed, the credits were refunded — you aren't charged for a transcript you didn't get. If it keeps failing, email us the meeting's date and roughly how long it was.

What languages does it handle?

Transcription and summaries work across many languages, including Dutch and mixed-language meetings — you don't have to pick one. The app's own interface is currently English only.

Can it record phone calls?

No. iOS doesn't allow apps to record phone or FaceTime calls. Loqi records through the microphone, so in-person meetings work well, and a speakerphone call in a quiet room usually does too.

Privacy and your data

How do I delete my account and data?

Settings → Delete Account removes your account, your usage record, and anything of yours still on our servers. It cannot be undone, and it does not cancel an active subscription — cancel that with Apple first.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Recordings and transcripts are never used to train models, by us or by Google. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
