15+ years shipping production software as a lead engineer. Today I build AI into real systems — LLM extraction, embeddings, and RAG — and I'm going deeper on agentic AI: multi-agent workflows, MCP tooling, and the engineering that takes agents from demo to production.
I'm a Dutch software engineer based in Bangkok, where I've lived and worked since late 2023. Over a 15-year career I've led teams and architectures across telephony systems handling thousands of calls a day, recruitment platforms serving large enterprises, and worldwide logistics apps — mostly in .NET, Angular, and microservices on Azure, with a long tail of C++, Java, and everything in between.
What's consistent across all of it: I like hard problems, I ship, and I never stop learning. Right now that curiosity is pointed squarely at agentic AI — and I'm building in public to get there.
The hype is everywhere; the hard part isn't. Most agent demos die before they reach real users. I'm focused on the gap that actually matters to teams: making agents reliable, observable, and useful in production.
An AI meeting companion for iOS. Record a meeting and get back an accurate transcript, a clean summary, and the action items that matter. Built solo, end-to-end — mobile app, AI backend, and a freemium subscription model — and shipping to the App Store.
The AI layer of a global shipping & logistics platform. Inbound quote-request emails are parsed and structured by an LLM, then enriched against a semantic-search layer — Vertex AI embeddings over a pgvector store of carriers, sailing schedules, ports, and organizations. Turns messy email threads into accurate, automated quotations.
A social jukebox for bars. Patrons scan a link to add songs to a shared queue and vote on what plays next — no app, no account. The owner connects Spotify once; everything updates in real time. Built as an installable PWA on the latest stack.
A running series of small, public agent builds — multi-agent workflows, MCP servers, and production-reliability experiments — each shipped with a write-up on what worked and what broke. New repos landing monthly.
Lead engineer on worldwide logistics web apps — bookings, quotes, and sailing schedules — built on an Angular + .NET microservices architecture, secured by a custom OpenID/OAuth identity server. Drive architecture, code reviews, mentoring, and CI/CD on GitHub & Azure DevOps.
Built telephony services in C++ handling thousands of calls/day, and led the shift from on-prem desktop apps to web-based clients on Azure Kubernetes (Angular + .NET Core). Part of the architecture team.
Built recruitment platform features, hundreds of career sites, and a Java/Solr resume-indexing engine powering a Salesforce-based product. Play! Framework, Oracle PL/SQL, and front-end.
Open to interesting work in agentic AI — roles, consulting, or collaborations. Always happy to talk shop with fellow builders.
